About
Louis Sartori is a postgraduate Photojournalism and Documentary Photography student at the University of Arts London.

Starting his academic career with an undergraduate in American Studies, it was the famed photographers of the FSA who first drew him towards press and documentary photography. He approaches his photographic work with a humanistic perspective and a keen interest in the history and processes behind cultural posterity.

In a general sense, Louis is guided by the fundamentals of the humanities as he looks to cover the stories and ideas that help us better understand the world as we know it today. He is particularly interested in lesser-documented forms of Western cultural expression.

To date, he has completed projects on a broad range of topics including the reality life for those living on London's A406, the growing obscurity of certain designated 'male' cultural spaces within the UK, and the existence of the south east coast of England as a troubled region with unique political importance.

Elsewhere, Louis worked extensively behind both camera and microphone for BBC Radio Norfolk as a assisstant producer. He launched and produced 'Double Exposure', a documentary and interview project which profiled young creatives in the town of Norwich.

Louis is currently earning his master's degree in Documentary Photography and Photojournalism at the University of Arts London, where he plans to graduate in the summer of 2025.
